V.A.V. Group’s production offers customised profiles from TPE and TPV, which show advantages typical of both rubbery materials and plastic materials.
TPE profiles could be produced from 40 Shore A to 45D in any basic colour and any RAL, as well as metallic colours.
It is possible to make TPE profiles by co-extrusion with two different hardnesses, colours or in combination with foam TPE.
Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are also called thermoplastic rubbers. They are a class of copolymers or a physical mix of polymers – usually a plastic and a rubber – which consist of materials with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. Since TPE is recyclable, it is replacing rubber profiles as well as PVC. TPE gives a much smoother surface appearance, a faster extrusion process and takes up less space compared to rubber extrusion processes. It is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
TPE profiles are used in a construction industry as well as in other industrial applications according to the customer’s required specifications. It comes in several different colors, which are manufactured as per the customer’s requirements.
Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) are part of the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family of polymers, but are closest in elastomeric properties to EPDM thermoset rubber, combining the characteristics of vulcanized rubber with the processing properties of thermoplastics.
TPV material was tested accordingly EN45545-2 R22/23 HL2.
